Can my child be dropped off/picked up by another adult?

You are more than welcome to carpool to camp. At check-in and check-out we will require each player to be signed in and signed out by a responsible adult. This does not have to be the camper’s parent, but this adult will assume all responsibility for the player arriving at and departing camp.

My child has never played lacrosse before? Is that camp right for him? 

Rhino Lacrosse has been operating lacrosse camps for 16 years. We have a lot of experience working with beginners through advanced players. We take pride in providing an enjoyable camp experience and making sure players of all levels have a great time.

My child does not have a lacrosse stick? What do I do? 

Good news! EVERY player who is registered will receive a complete Powell Lacrosse stick! The Intro to Lacrosse players will receive them on the first day of camp.

Is equipment required for the Intro to Lacrosse Camp option? 

No it is not! This is an equipment free program. A lacrosse stick will be given to every player on the first day of camp as well!

Does my child need spending money?

This is optional. There will be a camp store that will have apparel and equipment by Powell Lacrosse.

Do I need to pack any meals?

Full day campers will need a packed lunch. Half day campers it is optional for them to bring a snack.   

Will water be provided?

Our staff will ensure that players have ample water breaks and access to water jugs. Please send your player with a reusable water bottle.

What are the rules regarding medications?

Our Athletic Trainers will be at check-in to speak with parents or other responsible adults about campers medical needs and conditions. They will record any medication and instructions for these medications. Campers may keep their medications with them, or you may give them to the Athletic Trainers to hold on to.

Can my child bring his cell phone?

Players are allowed to use their cell phones at their own discretion. We ask that they do not bring their cell phones to any on field sessions.

What happens in the case of extreme weather?

Our staff monitors the weather for the week of camp very closely. In the case of extreme weather, parents will be notified of any changes to the camp schedule via the email or phone number provided during registration. Please be sure that these emails are not being sent to your junk folder.

How do I contact my child at camp if he does not have a cell phone?

Should you need to reach your child at camp, please contact Rhino Lacrosse at 315.692.4449.

What if my child is injured during camp?

A Certified Athletic Trainer will be on duty for the duration of camp. They will have all players’ emergency contact information on hand.

Am I allowed to come watch my child play?

Parents are welcome to attend camp introduction and observe all on field sessions.

Cancellation Policy:

Refunds or credits are not offered under any circumstances if cancellation insurance is not purchased during registration. Cancellations must be issued in writing and sent to info@rhinolacrosse.com, no cancellations will be accepted over the phone.

Cancellation Insurance is a worry-free way to offer protection in the event of illness, injury or any unforeseen circumstances. Cancellation insurance is $75 for overnight/extended day camps, $40 for full day camps, and $25 for beginner/half day camps. Cancellation Insurance and the registration processing fees are non-refundable. You may only purchase cancellation insurance when registering for an event.

If you purchased insurance and must cancel prior to 30 days before the event begins, a full refund of all camp fees paid minus the registration processing fees and cancellation insurance will be processed. Within 30 days and up to 1 week prior to the first day of the camp, if you purchased insurance and must cancel your registration, we will issue a credit of all camp fees paid minus the cancellation insurance and registration processing fees. Your credit is redeemable at any Rhino Lacrosse event, valid for one year from the date the registration was made and is transferable to anyone (family member, teammate, friend, etc.). Within 1 week of the event, no refunds or credits are offered for event cancellation, regardless of whether cancellation insurance was purchased.

If Rhino Lacrosse is forced to cancel the camp due to facility closures or government mandates you will have the option of transferring your registration to a different event, or receiving full credit to use at a 2022 event. If you purchased cancellation insurance you will also have the option to receive a refund, minus the registration processing fees and cancellation insurance.

My child has never played lacrosse before? Is that camp right for him? 

Rhino Lacrosse has been operating lacrosse camps for 16 years. We have a lot of experience working with beginners through advanced players. We take pride in providing an enjoyable camp experience and making sure players of all levels have a great time.

My child does not have a lacrosse stick? What do I do? 

Good news! EVERY player who is registered will receive a complete Powell Lacrosse stick! The Intro to Lacrosse players will receive them on the first day of camp.

Is equipment required for the Intro to Lacrosse Camp option? 

No it is not! This is an equipment free program. A lacrosse stick will be given to every player on the first day of camp as well!

Does my child need spending money?

This is optional. There will be a camp store that will have apparel and equipment by Powell Lacrosse.

Do I need to pack any meals?

Full day campers will need a packed lunch. Half day campers it is optional for them to bring a snack.   

Will water be provided?

Our staff will ensure that players have ample water breaks and access to water jugs. Please send your player with a reusable water bottle.

What are the rules regarding medications?

Our Athletic Trainers will be at check-in to speak with parents or other responsible adults about campers medical needs and conditions. They will record any medication and instructions for these medications. Campers may keep their medications with them, or you may give them to the Athletic Trainers to hold on to.

Can my child bring his cell phone?

Players are allowed to use their cell phones at their own discretion. We ask that they do not bring their cell phones to any on field sessions.

What happens in the case of extreme weather?

Our staff monitors the weather for the week of camp very closely. In the case of extreme weather, parents will be notified of any changes to the camp schedule via the email or phone number provided during registration. Please be sure that these emails are not being sent to your junk folder.

How do I contact my child at camp if he does not have a cell phone?

A Certified Athletic Trainer will be on duty for the duration of camp. They will have all players’ emergency contact information on hand.

Cancellation Policy:

Refunds or credits are not offered under any circumstances if cancellation insurance is not purchased during registration. Cancellations must be issued in writing and sent to info@rhinolacrosse.com, no cancellations will be accepted over the phone.

Cancellation Insurance is a worry-free way to offer protection in the event of illness, injury or any unforeseen circumstances. Cancellation insurance is $75 for overnight/extended day camps, $40 for full day camps, and $25 for beginner/half day camps. Cancellation Insurance and the registration processing fees are non-refundable. You may only purchase cancellation insurance when registering for an event.

If you purchased insurance and must cancel prior to 30 days before the event begins, a full refund of all camp fees paid minus the registration processing fees and cancellation insurance will be processed. Within 30 days and up to 1 week prior to the first day of the camp, if you purchased insurance and must cancel your registration, we will issue a credit of all camp fees paid minus the cancellation insurance and registration processing fees. Your credit is redeemable at any Rhino Lacrosse event, valid for one year from the date the registration was made and is transferable to anyone (family member, teammate, friend, etc.). Within 1 week of the event, no refunds or credits are offered for event cancellation, regardless of whether cancellation insurance was purchased.

If Rhino Lacrosse is forced to cancel the camp due to facility closures or government mandates you will have the option of transferring your registration to a different event, or receiving full credit to use at a 2022 event. South Carolina Overnight Camp

Rhino Lacrosse is excited to bring our camp to South Carolina this summer! All players will come away from the Rhino Lacrosse Camp with the necessary tools to compete in the game of lacrosse at a higher level. Players will be led by a world class coaching staff which includes current Division I collegiate players, college coaches, high school coaches and professional players all hand picked by Ryan Powell. All players will receive position specific training and will leave camp knowing all the important facets of the game from shooting and stick work to the tips, tricks and techniques of the pros. Each day of camp will not only include on field instruction, games and demonstrations but also positional talks, player-coach Q & A sessions, and much more! Rhino Lacrosse Academy is an exciting and rewarding experience for lacrosse players of all levels and abilities to improve their skills and confidence.

Overnight & Extended Day Camps


Overnight- Campers will be staying in the dorms. All meals will be provided for overnight campers through the duration of the camp.

First meal provided will be dinner on Sunday, July 18 and the last meal of camp will be breakfast on Thursday, July 22.

Extended Day- Extended day campers will stay off site at the discretion of their guardians. Lunch and dinner will be included in camp tuition.

Daily drop off for campers is 8:45am (except Sunday and pick up will be 8:45pm each night.

First meal provided will be dinner on Sunday, July 18 and the last meal of camp will be dinner on Wednesday, July 21.

Any cars that are parked on Oregon State campus during the camp are subject to Oregon States parking policies.

When will my son receive his room assignment?

Players will receive their room assignments upon check-in. We try our best to match each player with their requested roommate. If for some reason this is not possible, we try to match players with other individuals from their school or club team.

Staff will be dispersed throughout the dorm rooms to ensure that all players are accounted for. Should your child have an issue or concern during the night, the staff member will be available for them.

Will bedding be provided? 

Pillows and linens are not provided. You can bring your own or rent them from Oregon State during camp. You can rent pillows and linens during check-in from Oregon State. Please note that these beds are twin XL.

Are the dorms air-conditioned?

No the dorms have no air conditioning. Please send your players with fans or anything else they may want to stay cool!
