The Black Rhinos represent the best high school lacrosse talent in the state of Oregon.  This elite team will be open for any players that have just completed the 9th, 10th or 11th grade in thblackrhinophotoe ‘14-’15 school year ( 2015, 2016, and 2017 classes).  This will be an excellent way for players to receive top-notch lacrosse instruction and training while competing against elite regional and national competition. Coach DeMonte and Coach Corcoran will work to prepare the Black Rhinos to become impact varsity players who strive to play college lacrosse.

*Any player that is selected to a West Coast Starz team automatically earns a spot on the age/grade appropriate Rhino Summer Select Team. 




Valhalla (Vancouver, WA): June 27-28
Champ Camp (Baltimore, MD): July 15-18
Battle of the Hotbeds (University of Delaware): July 19-22
Oregon Lacrosse Classic (Bend, OR): July 24-26

Team Practice

Players are expected to be committed to all events including practices. Practices will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays at OES.
Practice dates: June 30 July 2, 7, 9  Practice times: 7:30pm- 9pm

West Linn Academy

Included in the Select package for 2015 is the Rhino West Linn Academy. Entering its eleventh year the Rhino West Linn Academy offers players a fun and valuable 4 days of lacrosse instruction with some of the games best coaches and players.
Dates: June 16-19 from 9am-4pm each day

Position Specific Training

In addition to your team practices select players will have the opportunity to train with other Rhino select players on the skills and nuances specific to your position. The Monday night sessions will feature coaches that have played the game at the highest levels and want to make you the best at your specific position.                                                                                                                                     Position Specific Training dates & time: June 7, 15, 21 July 5, 12 Exact time is TBD at the moment.

Team Training Camp

All Rhino Select teams will experience an intense college-style training camp June 22-25. This is a very special and one of a kind opportunity that will improve skills and lacrosse IQ on both the individual and team levels. The team training camp will be held at OES from 1pm-4pm each day.


Cost includes:

8 Team Practices, 4 Day Team Training Camp, Rhino West Linn Academy,  Tournament Entry Fees, Rhino Uniform, Practice Shirt, Practice Shorts, Rhino Socks, 2 Team Meals, Elite Coaching, and 5 Position Specific Training Sessions.
